Being Whole and Healthy: The Wholeness Wheel
I pray that you are all able to find ways to keep healthy in all the dimensions of life. Having our normal routines and usual interactions completely disrupted by this pandemic has forced us to think how to care for ourselves in new ways.
The benefit services of the ELCA, Portico, has developed a graphic and accompanying materials to remember the areas of wellness. We are reminded of the center of our lives; our unity with Christ in our baptism. From that springs our Social / Interpersonal, Emotional, Physical, Financial, Vocational, and Intellectual Wellbeing. Surrounding and woven throughout is our Spiritual Wellbeing.
I pray this graphic is a help to you.

I hope you are able to find new, creative ways to connect to other people through phone calls or social media, you are able to keep your body healthy by enjoying the beautiful creation God has given us, you are able to remember your calling to care for those God loves through your vocation, keep your mind active through learning new exciting subjects, and keep your heart well through sharing laughter and sorrow with those you love.
Yours in Christ, Pastor Arianna Arends
Let us pray. We give you thanks, O God, that through water and the Holy Spirit you give us new birth, cleanse us from sin, and raise us to eternal life. Stir up in your people the gift of your Holy Spirit: the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord, the spirit of joy in your presence, both now and forever. Amen.
