Souper Bowl of Caring:
On February 5th friends gather to watch the final game of the
football season, to discover which big-spending advertiser has come up
with the most outrageous new commercial, and to consume enough snacks to
ruin anyone’s diet. It’s Super Bowl Sunday!
However, some of our neighbors miss out on all this abundance; their
circumstances may leave them without even a bowl of soup to eat. It is
with these folks in mind that our youth participate in a nation movement
called the Souper Bowl of Caring.
For several weeks they have been asking you to drop your loose change in
a decorated soup pot. The money will be donated to the Cheney Food Bank.
On February 5th the total amount they have collected will be reported on
the Souper Bowl of Caring web site,
www.souperbowl.org and added to what the other 13,794 registered
groups from across the country report.
Thank your for helping our youth help others in this way.
